Building Expansion and Layout Replacement

 In 1999 the KMRHS began planning and fund raising for an expansion of our facilities at 9336 North Riverview Drive in Kalamazoo. In the Spring of 2014 we reached our funding goals and the membership authorized the construction of the addition to the existing building. Construction and exterior and interior final finishing was completed in the Fall of 2017. The expansion nearly doubled our current building space, allowing for expansion of our HO scale model train layout, improved meeting space, storage and repair space for our 10x30 foot and 4x8 foor modular portable layouts, office space and an ADA restroom. Destruction of the old permanent layout and construction of the new permanent layout began in 2018.
